2023 Digout Family Reunion.
Another GREAT Digout Family Reunion done and dusted. As always, it was great seeing relatives from distant lands again and we had a few new faces as well.
I hope to have some additional updates in the coming weeks.

Family Tree website restored.
After a catastrophic outage at my previous web hosting company, I was finally able to re-generate the site.

Long awaited update.
The reunion in August went pretty well but the weather wasn't very agreeable. I was able to get some pretty interesting information from the local parish such as baptism information and verification on birth dates and marriage dates.

Elnora Sampson (Digout) passed away this morning.
Nanny left an indelible impression on us all, and she will be dearly missed.

  This software is very easy to work with and fully integrates with the genealogy software I'm using.

• Rita and Gordon Fougere are now happy grandparents with the arrival of Drew and Maggie's little girl, Riley.
• Shari and John Grimes have a new baby girl, Jenna.

I haven't updated this web site in almost a year but that doesn't mean I haven't been keeping track of changes in my genealogy software.  I've had quite a few emails from family members with changes and additions to the family tree.  I've also gotten a few emails from distant relatives that found this site and wanted me to update their branch.
I finally found a nice piece of land in Oban (a couple of miles from St. Peters and River Bourgeois) and closed on the sale in May.  That happened about two weeks after my little brother David got married.  It was a nice ceremony and I got to see some family from the O'Brien side that I haven't seen in a while.
Updated the family tree.

• Updated the database for David O'Brien's marriage.
• Updated the database with quite a few minor changes that I've received via email over the past year.

It is with much sadness that I announce the passing away of Murdock Henry Digout.
I received an email from a co-worker of David Degou from Cambridge, MA. David is a descendant of Tranquil Digout and Martine Landry.  Lillian also forwarded to me a great deal of updated information from Paul Landry.  I've been spending a great amount of time getting the family tree database updated and it was quite worth it!
Updated the family tree.

• Updated the database with information from Paul Landry.

Received an email from Patrick Maher that included some additional information for a few people that were already in the database.  My apologies to Patrick for having his name spelled wrong in the database!

• Finally, a long awaited vacation to Nova Scotia.  Also, for the first time I was able to visit Prince Edward Island.  I have some new additions to the Digout tree as well as some updated information to Herman Digout's family, courtesy of Amelia and Sam Cormier.

• Added additional family members for Stanislaus Lawrence Digout (formerly Lawrence Digout).  Information was received from his son Michael.

Updated the family tree.

• Received a substantial amount of data from Thom McCabe, Great-Grandson of Remi Digout.  Remi was William Digout's Uncle.  This fills in an entire missing branch of data and also introduced me once again to some relatives I never knew I had!
